This afternoon we rode to Bear Butte State Park.
At Bear Butte we encountered mean buffalo! There is just one road in and this herd was next to the road. We drove slowly but we both noticed how one male in particular was watching us and then all of a sudden he started running to intercept us! I was hanging on to Terry and saying oh shit OH shit OH SHIT as Terry was speeding up to get away. I was thinking about how they can run 40mph and Terry was thinking it's going to be tight to miss the male standing on the road ahead. My heart was pounding!! We stayed at the education center and watched cars leave without incident so we headed out too. This time Terry drove fast and I had the camera ready to take a picture. Looks like that one guy was ready to chase us again!
No more buffalo for me!
